SUBJECT GOALS

CHINESE LANGUAGE

(1) Cultivate the ability to read, write, speak and think, strengthen communication and stimulate creativity; develop interests, habits and abilities on self-learning, and build the foundation for lifelong learning;

(2) Cultivate a sense of aesthetic;

(3) Improve cultural literacy; nourish moral characters and strengthen the sense of responsibility to family, the country and the world;

(4) Understand personal interests and specialties to plan for future studies, life and work;

(5) Develop a studious, active attitude and positive values; broaden international horizons.

(6) Chinese subjects are taught in Mandarin. Cultivate language skills such as listening, speaking and reading, as well as self-learning ability;

(7) Improve language knowledge related to Mandarin and knowledge about the Chinese culture;

(8) Increase interests in learning Mandarin and cultivate positive learning attitudes and habits.
