On 7th January our students embarked on an unforgettable four-day trip to Xi’an, one of China’s most historically rich and culturally vibrant cities. The trip offered a unique blend of educational experiences and fun, leaving our students with memories to cherish and lessons to reflect upon.
Highlights of the trip included the world-famous Terracotta Army, where students marvelled at the lifelike statues and learned about the legacy of Emperor Qin Shi Huang. Exploring this UNESCO World Heritage Site gave everyone a deeper appreciation of ancient Chinese history and craftsmanship.
Our pupils also got to experience life at our latest sister school – Xi’an Gaoxin No.8 Primary School, which has approximately four-thousand students. Our staff and children were blown away by their outstanding Chinese New Year show.
Beyond the landmarks, our students continually voiced how much they enjoyed the little things—experiences that many adults might take for granted. They cherished the joy of traveling with friends, discovering a sense of increased independence, and safely exploring new surroundings. These moments of freedom and camaraderie enriched their experience and gave them a fresh perspective on the world.
