In order to cater for the individual differences of students, our school established a "Student Support Team" to implement integrated education with the "whole school participation" model, formulate school-based support courses and measures, provide appropriate support services for students with special learning needs by building an inclusive and caring campus.
The most important work of this group includes the provision of professional assessments for students suspected of having special learning difficulties through the "early identification" mechanism; individual learning plans, classroom support, group counseling, homework and assessment adjustments will also be provided for students with special learning needs. Students can receive appropriate support to realize their personal potential and enhance their learning effectiveness. In addition, supportive and developmental activities such as group activities, peer counseling, social groups, executive skills training, and speech therapy are also used to enhance students' self-confidence and social skills.
Home-school cooperation is also an important part of taking care of the individual differences of students. In addition to the "Personal Mentor Program", in order to allow teachers and parents to continue to communicate, the Student Support Team will also conduct case meetings with parents at the beginning of the semester to understand students' performance and parents’ opinions. This group will also hold different types of parent groups and seminars to maximize the effectiveness of the plan through the cooperation of parents.
Identify students' different learning needs early, implement different teaching strategies in a targeted manner, and provide after-school learning support and guidance to help students build self-confidence and interest in learning, thereby enhancing their academic standards and social skills.
